This is My Community - Tim Cash

“I love the great people of the Shenandoah Valley and the awesome quality of life that we enjoy living in such a loving community. My family and I love to travel, both domestically and internationally; however, one of my favorite parts of traveling is coming home – knowing that we are coming back to one of greatest places on earth.”

The Shenandoah Valley is known for its beauty and recreation, and for an outdoorsman like Tim Cash, there’s nowhere better to live and work. When the weather is nice, you’ll likely find Tim and his family visiting their favorite fishing spots around Bridgewater.

“Probably my two most favorite fishing spots in the Valley for my kids and I are my old ‘stomping grounds’ in Bridgewater. I love fishing North River, specifically wading upriver from Sandy Bottoms to the bridge in Bridgewater. As an alumnus of Bridgewater College, I have permission to fish in the College Pond. Both of my kids caught their first fish at that pond.”

In addition to fishing, Tim and his family stay busy! He has an athletic family and they enjoy participating in local events together. His 7-year-old daughter, Caroline, plays T-ball and does gymnastics and his 14-year-old son, Wilson, participates in baseball, cross country, and basketball. Wilson is part of the Fort Defiance High School JV Baseball Team and plays baseball on the Augusta Sabers Travel Baseball Team.

“My wife and I love to watch our kids compete and the kids love to cheer for their sibling. As a family, we also love recreational shooting with firearms and archery equipment.”

Youth sports and watching his children compete means a lot to Tim, which motivates him to be involved in a variety of nonprofit and community organizations, a lot of them revolving around youth. He coached youth sports for several years and previously served as a local Den Leader and District Commissioner for The Boys Scouts of America.

Tim also served on the Board of Directors and as the Treasurer for The First Tee of The Shenandoah Valley. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association and participates in Relay for Life and United Way events annually.

In the office, Tim serves his community by working with area businesses to help achieve their financial dreams. He has been with PCB since 2019 but has served the banking and finance industry for the past 23 years. His favorite part of the job? Helping others.

“I love helping people and businesses achieve their financial dreams and goals, especially here in the Shenandoah Valley. I also get great satisfaction and feel very proud to have worked in the banking industry for the past 23 years. Our industry is such a critical component to the local economy. I love watching our community grow and prosper because of our contributions.”
