PCB is excited to announce that one of our very own, Zoe Crook, has been accepted to WVU Tech where she plans to begin her academic journey in the fall of 2024! We would like to congratulate her on this huge milestone and wish her the best of luck.
Zoe is a Miss WV High School rodeo Queen and continues to stay active in the rodeo circuit within the state. She worked at a local Dairy Queen for two years before she discovered PCB when Jen McClure, our Beckley Financial Center Manager, told her about a seasonal position and informed her on the continued opportunities she could have working with PCB.
After a discussion with her parents, she decided to become part of the PCB team. Zoe said, “This was one of the best decisions I had ever made. I have learned so much over the past 5 months and I have gained tons of skills that will help me in the future”.  Karen Ewing, our Beckley VP Market Leader, said that Zoe seems to love working at PCB. She is always smiling, extremely smart, and has an incredibly bright future. “She is equally excited about her acceptance at WVU Tech, and she LOVES that we have a partnership with them.  Her face was BEAMING with pride and excitement when she stepped into my office to share her acceptance with me”.
Zoe plans to go through WVU Tech’s nursing program and get her BSN with an end goal of becoming a Nurse Midwife. While attending WVU Tech, she plans to continue working with PCB and to continue to learn more about the banking industry. Zoe said, “WVU Tech holds a special place in my heart as my dad is an Alumni (Class of 2001) and I want to follow in the same footsteps as my dad because he has been an amazing role model to me. WVU Tech is the perfect fit for me, and it is so close to home that I can stay at home with my family. I am super excited to be attending tech after I graduate High School, and I am ready to see what the next chapter of my life withholds”.
PCB is proud to be a Communiversity partner with WVU Tech, and to support them in their mission to provide an accessible and supportive environment, fostering intellectual and personal growth to promising individuals like Zoe Crook.
